Jasper Claessens, Lichtontwerper
Jasper Claessens is afgestudeerd als lichttechnicus, – ontwerper en -programmeur. Tijdens zijn opleiding heeft hij stage gelopen bij Theater Speelhuis in Helmond waar hij verantwoordelijk was voor licht, décor en rigging. Daarnaast was hij tijdens zijn opleiding als stagiaire verbonden aan de ‘Ashton Brothers’ waar hij zorg droeg voor het uitvoeren van het lichtplan, décor, rekwisieten en het rigging platform gebruikmakend van cyberhoist. Zijn afstudeerstage voerde hij uit bij ‘Theaterservice-Pepijn v.d. Sanden’ met wie hij het licht verzorgde bij de grote productie ‘MZN8D’ in het Steengroevetheater, de theatervoorstelling ‘Zingen Zolang Het Duurt’ van Paul de Leeuw. Daarnaast hebben zij samen geprogrammeerd voor o.a. Guido’s Orchestra en ‘In de ban van Broadway’ DeLamar Amsterdam.
Zijn afstudeervoorstelling in Tilburg werd hooggewaardeerd en mede hierdoor werd Jasper verkozen tot ‘Uitblinker van het jaar 2016’ van de School voor Kunst, Cultuur en Media van ROC Tilburg. De jury nomineerde hem vanwege zijn technische kennis, creatieve geest en teamplayer-mentaliteit. Sinds 2015 heeft Jasper zijn eigen bedrijf JASPER Lights and Design waarmee hij projecten uitvoert voor Theater Speelhuis, Pronorm B.V., Live Legends, Ashton Brothers, Theaterservice, PRG, The Analogues en diverse stichtingen en verenigingen. Afgelopen jaar heeft hij o.a. meegewerkt aan producties van: Karin Bloemen, Mirandela Light Festival, GLOW, Lumina-Festival da Luz, The Analogues, Concert at Sea, Ashton Brothers e.v.a. In 2019 maakte hij ook zijn eerste lichtkunst object in opdract van Pronorm B.V, ‘Light in Depth’.
Jasper Claessens, Light Designer
In 2016 Jasper Claessens graduated as a lighting technician, designer and programmer. During his education he did an internship at Theater Speelhuis in Helmond (Netherlands) where he was responsible for lighting, decor and rigging. In addition, during his training as an intern, he was touring with the “Ashton Brothers” where he took care of the lighting plan, decor, props and the rigging platform using cyberhoist. He did his graduation internship at “Theaterservice-Pepijn v.d. Sanden” where he provided the lights for the large production” MZN8D ” in het Steengroeve Theater Winterswijk (Netherlands), the theatre performance “Zingen Zolang Het Duurt” by Paul de Leeuw. They have programmed together for Guido Orchestra and “In de ban van Broadway” DeLamar Amsterdam.
His graduation performance in Tilburg was highly appreciated and partly because of this, Jasper was chosen “Excellence of the year 2016” by the School for Art, Culture and Media of ROC Tilburg. The jury nominated him for his technical knowledge, creative spirit and teamplayer mentality. Since 2015 Jasper has his own company JASPER Lights and Design with which he carries out projects for Theater Speelhuis, Pronorm B.V., Live Legends, Ashton Brothers, Theaterservice, PRG, The Analogues and various foundations and associations. Last year he has participated in productions of: Karin Bloemen, Mirandela Light Festival, GLOW, Lumina-Festival da Luz, The Analogues, Concert at Sea, Ashton Brothers and others. In 2019 he also made his first Light Art object commissioned by Pronorm BV, ‘Light in Depth’.
